With Instagram Downloader's Google Drive integration, you can configure your destination folder once, and every download will automatically transfer directly into your Google Drive in parallel.

How It Works

  1. Connect Account: Click “Sign in with Google” in the Google Drive section on our homepage.
  2. Grant Access: Google will prompt you to authorize Instagram Downloader to access Google Drive files and folders.
  3. Choose Folder: Use our interactive folder browser to navigate your Google Drive hierarchy and select a target folder.
  4. Download as Usual: Whenever you click “Download”, the file is saved locally to your device and streamed concurrently into your selected Google Drive folder!

OAuth Scopes & Privacy Disclosures

In strict compliance with the Google API Services User Data Policy, our application requests the narrowest possible OAuth scopes required for this feature:

https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.file

Purpose: Allows our server to create and upload new media files directly into your authorized Google Drive folder.

https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.readonly

Purpose: Allows our built-in folder browser to list folder names so you can select your preferred backup location.

Security & Token Handling

  • No Token Exposure: Access tokens and refresh tokens are encrypted server-side using iron-session in an HttpOnly cookie. Frontend JavaScript running in your browser never has access to raw tokens.
  • No Database Storage: We do not store your tokens in any server-side database or third-party CRM.
  • No Data Sharing: Your Google Drive data is never shared with third parties or used for analytics or AI training.

How to Disconnect & Revoke Access

You can disconnect Google Drive at any time by clicking the “Disconnect” button in the Google Drive section on our homepage. Alternatively, you can revoke access directly through your Google Security Settings.
