How to Download Instagram Reels & Videos
Follow our easy, 4-step tutorial to download public Instagram media in maximum quality.
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1: Copy the Public Instagram Link
On Mobile (Android / iPhone): Open the Instagram app, navigate to the public Reel or video post, tap the Share (paper plane) icon or the three dots (...) in the corner, and tap “Copy Link”.
On Desktop Browser: Open the Instagram post in your web browser and copy the full URL from the browser address bar (e.g. https://www.instagram.com/reel/Dcl4bTWsFXL/).
Step 2: Paste the URL in Downloader
Go to the Instagram Downloader homepage and paste the copied link into the input field. The application will automatically detect and resolve the media stream within seconds.
Step 3: Check the Playable Media Preview
Once resolved, a media preview card will appear displaying the video player, resolution (e.g., 1080p Full HD), file format (MP4), and caption snippet. You can test playing the video right in the preview player.
Step 4: Click Download & Save
Click the prominent “Download Highest Quality” button. The video stream will download directly to your device's Downloads folder.
Optional: Sync with Google Drive
If you want your downloaded files automatically organized in the cloud:
- Click “Sign in with Google” in the Google Drive section on the homepage.
- Authorize access and click “Select Drive Folder”.
- Browse your Google Drive folders and pick your target folder (e.g. My Drive > Reels > Backup).
- Every time you download, our server will automatically stream a backup copy straight to that folder!
Helpful Tips for Smooth Downloads:
- Ensure Post is Public: Private accounts and expired stories cannot be resolved.
- Stable Internet: Ensure a stable WiFi or 4G/5G connection to prevent stream interruptions on large HD files.
- Storage Space: Verify that your device has sufficient free storage space before downloading high-definition videos.
